Toussaint subscribes wholeheartedly to this, and lives his unlife by these ideals with an almost religious zeal. ♦ Penitent: The word penance derives from Old French and Latin poenitentia, both of which derive from the same root meaning repentance, the desire to be forgiven. Toussaint enforces his own sense of justice and levies punishments upon the wicked who have wronged others that seek out his help in his guise as Doc Underhill - he has a soft spot for wraiths especially.
