♦ Lars: Lars Abilgaard is the older brother to his packmade Sigurd Abilgaard. They grew up together in a Get Caern located in Denmark, fathered by Elder Blood On The Tusk. Of noble blood, he can trace his lineage back to old kings of Denmark. As his change came a little later than most Garou, as the first-born to a noble house he was set to wed and mate Bathes In Crimson only two months before the kin-fetch came and spoke of his and his brother's impending change. The twins were both true born Garou. His marriage now null and void, he was free to travel to America with his brothers to find honor and glory at what was reputed to be one of the worst septs.
♦ Selene: Selene was one of the many kin wolves around the Get Caern in Denmark that her packmates resided in. She was fathered by pure blood, untainted and unblemished by lesser creatures, a lineage of wolves descended for hundreds of years, and carefully guarded to ensure their blood stays unspoiled. She underwent her change late for a wolf, under the waxing moon. She showed a knack for the life of a Forsetti, and took to it swiftly. She was packed with the brothers Lars and Sigurd, and cast towards America to bring honor and glory to her bloodline, or to remain there and die.
♦ Sigurd: Sigurd is the second son of Jarl Blood on the Tusk, and younger brother to Lars Abilgaard. Born of high nobility and pure of breed, Sigurd's upbringing was especially demanding. As the second son, Sigurd's duty to his family was clear: To serve as retainer to his eldest brother - A duty he took to easily. The First Change of both he and his brother rendered their marriage arrangements void. When Lars decided to choose his mate as he will, Sigurd volunteered to marry the kinfolk woman Adalina in order to preserve the alliance between their two families. Now, with his mate and pack, Sigurd has traveled to Prospect in order to hone his killing art.
♦ Person "Sigurd's thoughts." "Selene's thoughts.""Lars' thoughts."
“We were waiting in this very spot when a cold wind chilled our bones and lead us to the East. We followed it's icy touch for a time, moving swiftly and quietly. At my behest we slowed when we came to the valley that had been foretold to us by the wise Seer that had sent us upon this path. A stealthy approach afforded us a look upon our prey which sat at the base of two trees that tangled together like lovers in an everlasting embrace.” "We moved closer and closer, each of us in war form. There were three beasts slavering over some fallen carrion. The beast themselves were like giant bores, with tusks as long as my arms, and they smelled of dead things, a stench so foul it nigh hurt to breathe! But as we crept closer, the sow mother had spotted us. On the wings of Hummingbird, we flew into the fray before it had the chance to raise an alarm." "We were upon the beasts faster than you could blink. Selene grapples with the beast, but it is too strong for her, and I sink my jaws into it's hide. Such a thing so tainted of the Wyrm it was that it's blood burned my mouth. It tasted of poison. So I joined Selene in trying to pull it into the ground, but I get thrown off as well. Sigurd, beautiful Sigurd comes forth like an angel of death with that sword of his. With Selene and I catching it's attention, Sigurd strikes the beast with a single blow into it's heart." "The beast twists in it's rage and looses itself to it's fire. But Sigurd is too quick for it, and with two swift strikes it's head is cleaved from it's shoulders with a surgeon's precision. But then it's child-swine had reacted, and the one of darker colouring had screamed it's rage at the death of it's mother. Selene, nigh as fast as Hummingbird herself leaps upon the beast, but it's rage has given it strength and she cannot hold it still. As I move to assist her, the monster spears me with it's tusks, lifting my feet off the ground with it's unnatural strength. As I felt the blood pool in my chest, I felt my beast try to get free of the cage I hold it in. It could not get free of it's prison... And so I let it out, and as Selene is finally able to grab it's throat in her powerful jaws I took it's face in my jaws and tore it bloody. I don't remember what happened next, but this is how I was told it went after I let Gaia's fire flush through my veins..." "Sigurd at the time I was told was toying with the other pigling. Using his sword to deftly parry the twin tusks of his own monster. With nothing but skill mind you he parries and slips it's attacks with such efficient skill. Not a sweat was broken and the beast could not lay a hand on my brother! Untouched and using only his natural speed and skills! As Sigurd pinned the beast I bit and clawed at it, but my fury was not enough to pierce it's hide. Only when it had shrugged off brother Selene did I take my hand and plunge it into it's chest and into it's heart. But such beasts are hearty, and with it's own squeal of mixed terror and rage it kept fighting. And then it rushed brother Sigurd, it's rage unchanneled it rushed towards my brother. And so I leaped through the air and dug my claws into the back of it's neck and curled fingers around it's spine and ripped it from it's body. And then to the final beast..." "Sigurd kept it's attention with parries and even a solid slip of his sword into it's neck. And when myself and Selene fell upon it, it had no chance. I plunged one arm into it's chest, and as I hefted it's body from the Earth I plunged into it another arm. As it squealed and cried and thrashed above my head, I ripped the beast in twine, scattering it to either side of me as I howled out glory to the bright full face of Gaia. As my body failed and I collapsed, Selene used her gifts to save me, and then purified the surrounding forest of the taint of the fallen Grondr, bringing peace back to the spirits and land."
