6/6/2022 12:14:42  Nora beams across at Kierik and wiggles a bit in her seat. "Maybe we'll get fat." Probably not, though. "All the ribs!" She and Kierik are seated at a table, having just ordered. There is a tiny little nose sticking out of her hoodie pocket.

6/6/2022 12:16:14  Oh people! Kierik is sitting at table with Nora. He hmms, "I want to try this wine stuff, it's supposed to be fancy." He nods. "Whatever goes with the ribs, and the steak, and the jalepeno poppers." He nods. He also tucks the napkin into the top of his shirt. "We could get used to this, yes?" That's a dumb question.

6/6/2022 12:21:39  Jackie enters and greets the staff cheerfully, but then almost misses the other two diners as she gets absorbed in her phone for a moment. She takes a couple more steps toward the seating area and looks up to navigate to a table, then pauses as she spots the pair. She raises a hand in a wave as she recognizes them from the night of the raid.

6/6/2022 12:23:28  Nora stares at Kierik and his napkin for a moment, then copies this, which gets a chittering sound to emanate from that pocket and one itty bitty paw scrabbles to push the napkin aside so that the mostly hidden rat can keep on sniffing at the air. Spotting Jackie, Nora waves cheerily. "Look. It's the driver girl. Hi! Guess what? Alexis taught me how to drive."

6/6/2022 12:26:20  It's probably like watching a trainwreck of etiquette, Martha Stewart is having an anuerism over this. Kierik rests his elbows on the table and props his chin in his hands. He's grinning at Nora. Oh, Kierik looks up and waves at Jackie. "Umm ... " He furrows his brow, "Stacy? Jilly?" He shakes his head, "Jackie! Yeah!" He seems pleased with himself. "We're celebrating, come join us. Dinner's on me!"

6/6/2022 12:28:16  Jackie grins a bit, then nods and moves over to join them. "Ok, sure, why not? And you say you just learned to drive? Like, you didn't before?"

6/6/2022 12:30:33  Nora turns back to Kierik. "We're celebrating? What are we celebrating?" Back to Jackie, and she goes blinkblink. "I mean. No?" She shrugs. "Learning to drive doesn't have much point when you don't have a car. Or access to a car. Or a home. I do have a home now. There is even a garage. So I got Alexis to teach me." She doesn't explain who Alexis is or anything. "But now I can drive." But does she have a license? Probably not.

6/6/2022 12:31:58  Kierik shakes his head, "I don't." He shrugs, "I tend to run everywhere." He nods, "But Nora can drive now, so we're celebrating."

6/6/2022 12:35:01  Jackie nods along slowly, not quite following everything there. "Ok, new homes are good... Is Alexis a friend of yours? I don't recognize the name."

6/6/2022 12:37:25  "Ohhh, that's what we're celebrating," Nora murmurs. Her coke and Kierik's wine get dropped off. His is red. Nora grins at Jackie. "Oh. She's kinfolk. Like me. Came to help us, with some others. She's nice, she flirts with everyone. Well. Not Kierik, anymore, so I don't need to light her on fire." A pause, and she adds, "Cuz he's mine. And we live in a bowling alley now. I was living.. I guess up in Tent City. Sometimes on the beach. Sometimes a random alley. This is way better, there's showers and everything."

6/6/2022 12:41:30  Kierik nods once, "Alexis is Family." Kierik confirms. He rolls his eyes, "She did not flirt with me, she likes guys like Scott. " He wrinkles his nose, "I am too skinny and skinny boys scare her." Kierik shrugs, "Made no sense." He sniffs at the wine then takes a taste. He makes a face, then tastes it again. "Like ... " He sniffs, " ... better than sour juice. Okay." He listens to Nora and says, seriously, "Family bought the old bowling alley. I made Nora a Nest. She is happy now." Jalepeno poppers arrive and start disappearing.

6/6/2022 12:44:56  Jackie blinks a few times, taking all of that in. She takes a moment to wonder how she managed the develop the habit of interrupting dates, apparently, then manages to put together a response. "A nest... in a bowling alley. Yeah, that does sound better than a regular alley, for sure. Probably better than tents, too.

6/6/2022 12:46:54  Nora wrinkles her nose at Kierik. "You're not scary. Well. Okay, yes you are, but you're not scary towards family. Just everyone else. That's silly, you're the best rat." She does beam over at him, when he explains how she's happy now. Aww, ratkin love. Though she doesn't seem to mind Jackie's interruption. "It's the perfect place. There's, like, four ways out." Evidently, this is an important feature to any nest. "...not that we'll tell people all of them. That's the point. Need to keep them secret in case the government comes to get us. Or the aliens."

6/6/2022 12:52:40  Kierik shifts the plate over towards Jackie, "Do not be bashful." He says with a brow arches, "I do not have cooties ... " He grins so sweetly, "Well, not any you need to worry about." He laughs abit, "Sorry, could not help it. I am clean, shots and everything."

6/6/2022 12:55:05  Jackie gives Kierik a wry smile before reaching out and accepting a popper. "Is that a common concern? I mean, either cooties or government aliens?"

6/6/2022 13:03:09  Nora snags two poppers. One vanishes into her pocket, the other is popped into her mouth. Then ribs and steak also get brought over. "I mean. I worry about the government and aliens. Or government aliens... that could also be a thing. You should, too. Everyone should." She sounds serious about that. Or nuts.

6/6/2022 13:04:19  Kierik chuckles, "You do not know much about us, do you?" He asks of Jackie. He smiles all too widely, "I bet most of the stories you had heard are true." He shrugs and turns to food. He claps and rubs his hands together. "Now we are talking."
6/6/2022 13:05:04  The fire trembles and then Uktena appears in the flames.

6/6/2022 13:08:57  Jackie shakes her head as she chews and swallows. "No, not really. There was... a lot of distance kept between your kin and my kin back where I'm from. This is actually the most I've ever talked to any of you."
6/6/2022 13:10:04  The fire dances about, finally taking shape into that of the mighty Stag.

6/6/2022 13:12:00  "That's okay," Nora notes. "I've never actually met a m... er.. Garou or their kin until that raid. It's... eh. I like /you/. I mean. The kinfolk in general. I think your Garou are kinda... angry and shouty."

6/6/2022 13:14:15  Kierik looks to Jackie. "As long as you do not talk about politics, we will be fine." He touches his temple, "The Blood Remembers what happened." His nose wrinkles a bit in disdain. "We do not trust each other for a reason."
6/6/2022 13:15:04  The bus boy throws another log on the fire, sending fresh sparks up into the air.

6/6/2022 13:19:39  Jackie can't help but grin at Nora's description. "You're not really wrong there, to be fair. They're not the calmest folk. I can't really speak to any of the politics myself, either. Not something I've ever dealt with."

6/6/2022 13:21:28  Nora leans in towards Jackie. Don't worry, though... she was telling the truth about her home having showers, she smells just fine. "Ratkin aren't shouty, but they do also get angry. Mind you. I like our kind of angry more than yours. It's all chaotic and fun." She turns her gaze onto Kierik. "Right?"

6/6/2022 13:22:59  Kierik nods, "They wyld runs free in us, yes. The mutts have embraced the Weaver without realizing it. They choke and stifle." He thumbs his chest, "We revel in the wyld, spreading chaos and mayhem whenever possible."

6/6/2022 13:34:20  Nora snags a rib and starts to gnaw on it, though she does pause to look up. "I'm /never/ chaotic." Says the teleporting girl who s throws fireballs at her enemies. She turns to Kierik. "Right?"

6/6/2022 13:34:58  Jackie quirks the corner of her mouth as she tries to remain serious and almost succeeds. "Hmmm, chaotic does seem like a pretty good word here..."
6/6/2022 13:35:04  The fire crackles, sparks fly upwards as another log is thrown on the fire in the middle of the room.

6/6/2022 13:39:00  Kierik hmms, "I would say you are a little chaotic. But it is not a bad thing." He grabs a rib too. He isn't subtle and only vaguely socially fuctionable while gnawing. "Chaos is just another form of the Wyld." He doesn't seem overly worried about being serious. "Are you not hungry?"

6/6/2022 13:41:02  Nora pulls some meat off her rib. That, too, vanishes into her hoodie pocket. There is no longer a nose peeking out, whatever is in there - and, let's face it, it's probably a rat - is too busy eating his treats. "Oooh, look!" She uses the bone to point at the fire griffin. "...I could do that."

6/6/2022 13:51:29  Jackie eyes the ribs for a moment before giving in to the temptation. She hedges her odds of making a disaster of herself by putting a napkin over her shirt and another in her lap before tearing into a set about as savagely as the others. "I wasn't gonna, because this is a new outfit, but..."

6/6/2022 13:52:56  Nora grins at Jackie, and demolishes another rib, but her gaze is drawn back to the fire. After a bit, she gets up and meanders over, then plops down to sit cross-legged in front of the fire and starts talking to it.

6/6/2022 13:58:14  Kierik watches Nora slip over to the elemental and grins. He looks back to Jackie "That's what they make sinks for, washing clothes." He shrugs, "Do you know if they went and dealt with the other thing from the other day?"

6/6/2022 14:01:08  Jackie opens her mouth to correct him, then closes it with a barely perceptible shrug. She skips it to the other part. "No, I don't sorry. I've been a little out of the loop on those things. I expect they would have though? I don't think they'd leave anything important undone."

6/6/2022 14:08:27  Kierik nods slowly. "Alright." He doesn't sound pleased. He shakes his head and then glances over at Nora, who just stands up and walks out the door. He hisses a bit and slides out of his chair. "This isn't good." He says, expression darkening. He digs in his pocket and throws some folded up bills on the table. "Forgive me, I need to catch her ... "
