Its the evening of October 22nd, having texted Hardy and gotten an okay to come over, Vic arrives at the Hydra's home and rings the doorbell.

Hardy would open the door perhaps a bit to quickly as he had been waiting for her since she had sent the text to him smiling broadly "Hello Vic" offering a hug to her if she would allow it. "Long time no see, how have you been?" Large man pulling her in and putting her inside with the hug if she had let him. "It is good to see you" nodding to himself

Vic gladdly accepts the hug and naturally Hardy has no difficulty pulling her inside as she'd have no chance to resist his great strength were she inclined to do so. She smells of Dox, significantly more then the last time she carried some when she had some but not an overpoweringly amount. "It sure has been, weeks really," she replies. "I've been fine, even gotten over the recent soreness from a deep dive into the Digital Web where I was attacked by a representation of a machete-wielding, masked madman while field testing an awesomely designed VR-rig."

Hardy nods "We can smell the nettle on you... before you go we will devour it... but only when you are heading out... it does make us very tired and knocks us out and that is not all to fun hanging around" smiling warmly to her. "So you went to the Digital world and this person came after you? Did you escape or did you deal with him?"

"Yeah, there's a problem in that part of the Umbra," Vic says. She smiles to acknowledge the offer and nods, accepting it without making a big deal about it. Continuing about her recent exploits she says, "Some friends and allies of mine are looking into it. Its been in the papers but burred blow the fold and in the middle of the news section. Mysteries just aren't as interesting as the most recent celebrity dating news." She sounds regretful about the way the consensus is affecting the masses. "So we dealt with him by escaping; Rufus, the guy I did the run with, knew the film series the sector corruption was based on and got the killer to attach the focal point of the corruption. Sector reformatted, danger avoided," she says, grinning a bit at the wiley wisdom of her fellow Virtual Adept.

She looks up to make friendly eye contact with Hardy, craning her neck a bit, and asks, "Anything new with you?" and then suggestively, "What's between you and that gal Tabi?"

Hardy tilts his head "We are glad you made it well and corruption is an issue in the realms" nodding slowly to himself "We are glad you managed and dealt with the threat and are safe" smiles to her "Between us?" tilting his head as he looks to her "We are close friends and we greatly enjoy her company" nodding to himself then looking to her curiously "Why do you ask?" large man studies her.

Vic nods at the first question and says, "Of course," regarding the question and answers about Tabi being between them. She grins at the follow up question and says, "You really are inhuman if you missed the semi-tongue-in-cheek implication in my tone, Aitch," there's a chuckle in her current tone as she says, "I felt that you two seemed comfortable with each other and was implying that maybe there could be more than friendship there and was probing about that," and then she asks, "Is she a surfer like she seemed?"

Hardy chuckles "Oh we noticed alright, and we are quite inhuman" grinning to her "Kissing and telling is not our thing Vic. We have learned through the millennia that if we attempt a deeper relationship... we can kill off an entire clan... we did that a thousand years ago... she loved us and was dedicated to us.. and thusly she died without children, the last of her clan.. no legacy nothing.. just our memories of her. Thusly to ensure those we care for to leave a legacy... perhaps even allowing us to.. see them in their children, grand children.. we keep an open relationship, allowing them to find someone that can give them such a legacy.. to continue their line rather then us snuffing it out due to selfishness. So we keep friends that we care for but with that we make promise they will find someone suited for them."

 The scene had to end abruptly for RL reasons for Hardy's player. It may be continued. There were plans for Hardy to consume the Paradox Vic had accumulated and for continuity/story sake that has been assumed to have happened.
