Ratsputin is standing there waiting in the middle of the clearing next to the pack house, dressed in a long black trench coat under this is a tight shirt with a faded logo of something as he looks around staring down into the fire."A way to prove myself to protect her and to honor her." His hands are on the back of his jacket as he walks around, placing a call to those he trusts before he came out here, waiting now to see who arrives.

El isn't too far behind after he had initially called. After finding a spot to park her car, she made that walk out to meet Rats.


Loping into the area, Cait is in her wolf form, a mottled color wolf that is very sturdy looking. Or maybe it's a big dog. Either way, she could pass for either. As she trots into the area, her tongue lolls out, panting a bit and she'll yip as she sees Rats and El before trotting in their direction. The yip can be translated as, << I'm here! >>

Ratsputin waves towards Cait."Hello Cait, we need to do something amazing and epic even to win my lady love as my mate, trying to think of what to do?" His voice is soft, as his hands are behind his back with a little sigh again as he bites his lip."I have saved a spider from losing it's memroy killed a wyrmling and saved another lizard spirt. But that is not what Ildar is looking for, trying to find it." His voice is soft, as his arm loops around Elo's waste slowly as he smiles at her."She means the world to me, but they wish me to protect her and let the sept know I can."

El smiles warmly as she sees Cait, giving her a wave before she looks back to Rats. Leaning into him she sighs a bit before nodding. "You can do this." Patting him she nods a bit. "Worse case? We'll figure it out." Chuckling a bit she nods before closing her eyes. "That or my father will...."

Kaati looks over to Ratsputin, wary. "Your quest, your call," she says. "Take it out? I could try to make her strong enough to lift the box, but…


Cait's shape transforms as she stops and while it's a fairly slow transformation, it's not too bad. She's standing there then, fully clothed in her exercise gear and she'll grin. "Oh, amazing and epic, huh?" Pursing her lips at that, she'll tilt her head curiously. "That could be anything really, depending on the point of view. Like an amazing party, or feeding the needy, or rescuing a damsel in distress..." Pausing, she'll look over at El and winks at her, "How about I kidnap you and Rats has to come rescue you from the evil me?"

Ratsputin watches her with a little chuckle at the ideas, and then he beam slowly."Elowyn, have you ever been to the umbra?" His voice is soft, now as he walks towards Cait with a nodding of his head."We can do an umbra adventure with her clean it up, fix it up and with her helping and staying safe with us, whatcha think of that idea Cait?"

El chuckles a bit as she smiles. "Play the damsel?" AT that she just shakes her head playfully. "If all the things he did weren't good enough...who knows." At that she looks to Rats. "Once.....but it was short." At that she pats his arm. "I think that we can make this happen. Sounds like an idea." A beat. "I'll leave my car." Grinning she gives him a playful wink.

Cait gives a broad smile and then rocks on her feet a bit. "I can help protect, it's what I do.", she'll say with a smile. "So an umbral adventure to clean it up, to show you can protect her? Sounds good to me." Pausing, she'll look at El then and asks, "Do you have any way to protect yourself at all? I just wanna know your skills to know how much I have to wrap you in bubble wrap..", she'll say with a teasing grin.

"Nah we got this, she will be mine to protect as that is the quest, your here to make sure I don't die doing it Cait." Rats beams at her now with a soft chuckle, as he takes out a little mirror that he keeps in his pocket of his jacket, it is a old as sin, as he looks down at the pearl handle it was stolen once long ago in his youth back home, as he starts to do it his body is relaxing.

El looks between the pair, frowning slightly before looking over to Cait. "Eh...I can kinda hit stuff?" A beat. "But I'm good at cars....but it won't help here. I'll just...try to stay out of the way. The pack has been great in making time for me and helping me learn more so hopefully I won't be useless for much longer."

Cait chuckles and gives Rats a thumbs up, "Alright, you protect the damsel. I'll protect the knight.", she teases. Then she'll prepare to cross the gauntlet as well, moving alongside them to make sure it's together.

There's a simple enough move for Rats, pulling Elowyn over to that other side with him. Cait has a little bit longer before she's across. The area looks to be relatively calm right now. Although off to the east there seems to be some comotion going on.

El holds onto Rats as they step through, taking a deep breath. At that she smiles as she looks around. "Hmm." At that she then looks to the east, pursing her lips a bit in thought.

Ratsputin watches the umbra as he stands there with his arm around Elowyn, but at the souns of the east he let's go slowly."Stay close Elowyn, as we need to go check it out." As he nods towards Cait, he gets down low getting ready to stealth, as he thinks for a moment."Stay here, I'm go scout."

Cait will change into her war form, because they're in the umbra and it's for safety reasons. She can more easily protect in this form. Of course, Elowyn will be around a 7 foot tall wolf-creature that is rather intimidating. As Rats tells her to stay closer to El, she'll step closer and watch him and then the area.

El purses her lips a bit then nods as she smile. "Will do...." At that she looks over to Cait, smiling as she pushes her hair out of her face.

Ratsputin is moving now slowly as he gets down low to the ground as the blur starts it is well done, and then he is moving forward with a sneaky movements. This is his gift for his pack, now it will be used to scount the umbra, find the trouble to bring it to the others, as he starts on his way to the east still in homid for now.


Rats will come up on what looks to be a squabble of a bunch of spirits. Birds are attacking a group of spiders. They shift back and forth, gaining and losing ground here. At the center of the location? There looks to be something glowing softly there. A siren's whisper of a draw to power for anyone who pauses to listen. The spirits? Look completely ignorant of Rats being around at all.

Kaati, for her part, would come across the gauntlet near El and Cait. The area looks pretty typical for where Rats would call people. But there's a comotion off to the east.


The Dreamspeaker moves comfortably in the spirit world. She wears form-fitting brown capris and a tie-dyed shirt in forest shades, and is incongruously barefoot. There's something odd about her eyes, an unnatural brightness like obsidian meeting tigereye. 

A hawk paces her, visible when there are open spaces in the forest, occasionally coming down into the higher trees to take a look at things. When she spots Cait, she gives the girl a quick half-smile.


Ratsputin starts to make his way back to the others as he starts to move towards them as he walks towards them as he bows towards the others."Hey Kaati, welcome to our party." His voice is soft as he looks at the others for a moment."Fight between spiders and well birds up there, we should go check it out there, is something the middle they are battling over."

Cait stnds next to Elowyn in her war form and looks over as kaati arrives with a hawk. She'll lift a hand and waves at her before her head moves towards Rats when he arrives. She's quiet for now, being in Crinos form makes it hard to talk without sounding weird. His words cause her to nod and she'll begin to move in that direction where the spiders and birds are, but hangs back slightly so she doesn't get too far ahead.

"Um--" The newcomer studies Ratsputin and looks distracted for a moment, before turning her full attention to the Crinos and the redhead. "I'm Kaati," she says, very quietly. "Kin and Dreamspeaker, bound to the red-tailed hawk." She glances briefly over her shoulder, and the hawk launches off a fir tree to glide over the woods, in the direction Ratsputin has come from. The Crinos won't be chatty, of course. So Kaati mainly pays attention to Elowyn as Cait starts to move off.

Elowyn looks up at the new face, blinking before she clears her throat. Blushing slightly she nods a bit. "Oh hi. sorry...I'm Elowyn....Glass Walker kin....." At that she looks back over to where Rats is before looking back. "...member of Baldur's Blade...."

Ratsputin watches now as he starts to follow behind Cait now with  his hands in his pocket of his jacket."We talk first then, we fight as needed, we got a kin with us. Social then violence, got it Cait?" His voice is soft, as he looks up at the warfromed woman, as he motions for the others to follow him, as he listens having the tongue of the spirits as his gift.

Cait's large fluffy head turns slightly to look over her shoulder at Ratsputin and she'll growl out, << Got it. No fighting first... >> She stays in Crinos though, for safety reasons, now she has two kin to protect! She'll stay slightly ahead to be in the foreground if something happens, although doesn't go too far ahead, she wants to be near.

Kaati breaks into a swift smile. "Oh," is all she says, "cool," because there's work to do. She chants a few alien words, then, and tugs a leather pouch from one pocket; a pinch of herbs is drawn from the pouch, and she turns to release some to each of the four directions. Then she holds up a hand, the back of her wrist toward her with its mandala, her arm outstretched in the direction of the haw

El shyly looks away as she stays quiet for now. As she watches the others, she seems to be deep in thought. However she's keeping alert for now as she's in a newer to her place

The spirit with Kaati would take off for the fight that's going on, it wings about as Rats makes his way closer, leading the others if they go with him. After a few moments, everyone would get to see the same thing. Birds, wyld spirits, fighting with spiders, weaver spirits. There in the middle looks to be something glowing. The taunting whisper of power a steady lure for anyone who hears it. After a little bit of attempting to talk to them, the hawk comes back to Kaati and relays a message. ~They want the source and will fight whoever to get it. They wouldn't tell me more.

Ratsputin watches it all, then he speaks softly."THis is too close to our lands, this needs to be handled." His voice is soft, as he watches it all trying to gauge the fight, as he starts to move towards it now staying down low. As he moves towards the battle, staying low trying to sneak up to get a better look at it all, as he starts to see who is winning or if it is a stalemate.

"Whatever they're fighting over, it's got energy and that's why they're after it," Kaati passes on. "But... I don't know how attached the Walkers are to, like, the Weaver and her creatures," she adds. "So it's your call, yeah?" She watches Ratsputin for his cues, but he proves a bit difficult to follow--so the Dreamspeaker returns her attention to the fight.

When Rasputin moves off stealthily, Cait-crinos-werewolf will stop and crouch slightly to put her on the same level as the others. Nodding at Kaati, she'll wait there and look around slowly. "Let's wait.", she'll say in a garbled manner, trying to help with that speech with a hand motion of stay put.

Elowyn stays behind the others but close to not get separated. Looking past them she seems to be trying to see just what they were all fighting over.

Kaati tips her head, watching. "I'm inclined to be on the side of the Wyld, but..." She looks across to the hawk, wherever he's taken up a perch. "Miigwech, Red," she says, sending her gratitude before letting go of the link.

A shrug comes from Cait at Kaati's words, though she's staring forward and around, acutely alert in the umbra. "Maybe..", she says in that weird mangled way. "Not sure what thing is... depends. Yes?" She'll glance at Elowyn and watches her a moment to make sure she's okay before she looks towards where Rats snuck off to.

A roar of pleasure and rage coming out of his throat, as he sees the shiny."I need that, it is mine." The voice sounds odd, as if he is forgetting where is at the moment or the goal. As he moves towards the object now with a wicked howl of pleasure, as he wades into the combat around the object.

"...oh, *crap*," Kaati murmurs. "Whoever you are, do *not* go in close to that freakin' thing. We do not need *two* Crinos turned into Gollum."

At the roar of pleasure escaping from Ratsputin, Cait will leap forward exactly one step. She'll hesitate at Kaati's words and turns to look at her, there is trust in her gaze, she definitely trusts Kaati's words. "ahh shit..." Sorta sounds like sheeee coming from her. She'll crouch again and growl, looking irritated with her desire to go leap in and help, then she'll pause and look over at Elowyn and stare. "Maybe... she can?"

"Gaia, I can feel it too," Kaati whispers. She deepens her breathing, and looks over to Elowyn. "It's gonna have to be you," she says. "But if he doesn't snap out of it, let me calm down your guy, first, ok?"

Elowyn seems to be....taken it aback as she watches Rats losing it. Pursing her lips a bit she looks to the other two before stepping between the two of them. "I'll be fine...." At that she takes a few steps forward. "Ratsputin! Calm down!" She lets her voice ring out. "That's enough!"

Cait steps forward enough to put a hand on Elowyn's shoulder, "No, take the object... ", she'll say in that mangled accent via the wolf mouth. "They're fighting. Take it away. The cause is the object." She'll crouch a bit then and look forward, growling a bit.

Ratsputin moves back now towards the others quickly, as he is starting to shake his head with a little bite of his lips.<That thing needs to go.> His voice is soft, as he starts to transform back into his homid form."That thing needs to go, right now."

Elowyn exhales as Rats seems to get out of it. Looking over to Cait she nods a bit then purses her lips. "I wonder if it will affect me but...." Looking to those fighting she frowns a bit. "Not sure if I can get through them. Whatever this thing is...is a problem."

There's a stiffening from Cait after she stepped forward again to stop Elowyn and an internal struggle, but then she'll calm and step back slightly. << Yes it needs to go. >> She says towards Ratsputin, although there is relief on her features as he appears to have calmed. To Elowyn, she'll say in that mangled tongue, "You safe... no spirit ...en-gy. They probably ignore.." Pausing, she'll glance at Rats then and ask, << You think she'd be safe to go in and grab it? They're ignoring it and fighting.>>

"We are going to have Kaati, if she is willing bring it to you." Rats watches them for a moment, and then he points to the distance."You are going to run with it, taking Kaati with you. I will gaurd your backside my love. Cait and me will protect you if they follow, given what it does to us." He looks over at Cait with ashake of his head."Kaati knows the words of power, and she is skilled in that realm."

"On it, but I'm gonna see if I can settle down the fight, and then gorgeous here needs to do the grab," Kaati murmurs. "I'll get sucked in just like you did." She keeps a weather eye on Cait. "Um. Miss, um, Crinos? Maybe it would be best to get further away from it, yeah?" 

With that tentative suggestion, she starts pacing a wide circle around the area, never getting any closer to the wom-wom in question. Taking out the pouch, she scatters the herb again; then she traces a mandala in the air, and the symbol seems almost visible.

Kaati paces that wide circle, chanting softly, one hand drawing a stone from its place around her neck, strung on a bit of leather. She tugs the little 1-inch frame drum from that messenger bag. With the stone dangling from her wrist as she holds the drum, she starts tapping a slow, hypnotic rhythm, like a snake dance. She keeps going, keeps chanting, as the spirit battle starts to break up a little.

Cait glances at Kaati and then gives a toothy grin before she bobs her head. A nod to Ratpsputin is given and she'll say << I'll go on this side, you that side? >> Then she's backing it up, in a triangular pattern so that she's not closer to the thing but further way from the central line that Elowyn may run. She crouches though, preparing to leap forward as needed and is super alert. Or trying to be.

	Elowyn nods as she looks up to Rats. "Sounds good...." Taking a deep breath she pulls her hair back quickly with a ponytail holder on her wrist before taking off in a run for the object once things start to slow down.

Ratsputin nods slowly as he starts to mmove as Cait told him to and he is moving quicker now as he starts to transform into that war form now, he knows trouble is coming.<This is going to be bad, when she is gets it rush towards them.>

For those who pay attention.. which is everyone.. The spirits all seem more occupied with their struggle than to pay attention to the lone human in their midst. She hasn't touched it. yet. But? At the least, nothing is taking her down.

The hypnotic beat of the drum keeps going, steady, inexorable.

El keeps moving, trying to stay quiet. There's a slight hesitation she then feels a pull but keeps going. As she sees the object, she squints and just heads for that box that she sees.

Cait continues to crouch there, alert as she watches things. She'll glance at Kaati at the drums and then back to Elowyn as she watches her move between the spirits to get the object. Her entire body tenses and she'll just look like she's about to leap forward at any time.

Ratsputin starts to pace back and forth watching with narrow as he watches the battle breaking, as he sighs softly with a wide smile. He nods towards Kaati, with a growl of good job, but don't all growls sound the same.

Kaati looks just a little unsettled at that growl from Ratsputin, but her rhythm doesn't falter. She keeps her focus on Elowyn and the few scuffling spirits, now. "Calm," she murmurs.

Elowyn grabbed that box and tried to move it. Pushing herself to try to lift it.. and it doesn't budge. The pulse of power within it does seem to raise in pitch, being more intense as the box is shifted if slightly. The spirits that were nearby and Kaati was helping to calm down suddenly get more intense in their struggle. They're getting closer to El, but don't seem to be putting her in danger...

...Yet.

Ratsputin watches it all in his large war form hairless with a snarl of worry as he leans forward watching it all. His body is low as he watches it ready to rush forward if it is needed, and then he is looking over at Cait on the other side ready for action as well.

Kaati looks over to Ratsputin, wary. "Your quest, your call," she says. "Take it out? I could try to make her strong enough to lift the box, but…

Cait continues to crouch, like a linebacker, ready to launch forward at the slightest hint of trouble. She's staring towards Elowyn and then glances at Ratsputin, meeting his gaze with a tense look. It's clear she's going to follow his lead on this, because she often keeps looking between him and Elowyn, and the spirits around her.

Eloywn tries to pull it again then lets out a hiss. "....ow...." A hand moves to her back but her gaze moves to those fight. "...crap...."

Ratsputin watches it then he looks over at Kaati, with a nodding of his head and then he nods towards Elowyn. As he motions with his hand in a pick up fashion, the joys of war form not being able to talk in the words of man.

"It's okay," Kaati says steadily. "I'm gonna help you, all right? D'you have anything on you that you could throw to me?"



In the meantime, Kaati unsheathes the knife at the small of her back, and nicks the back of one wrist. With the efficient motions of long practice, she cleans the knife and snaps it back into its sheath.

Cait pauses and then looks at Rats, << She can't pick it up, one of us will have to help her. >> She looks at the box and then back to Rats again before she'll straighten slightloy, eager to go help it seems. "ROpe?", she says mangledly with a glance at Kaati. << maybe she can tie rope and we can help pull it? but to where? >>

El looks over to Kaati then blinks. "Anything on me?" Patting herself she then feels her hair. "All I have is my hair scrunchy...." Chuckling a bit she then stops. Quickly she unzips one of her boots and picks it up. "Here." At that she throws it towards Kaati before taking the other one off.

Kaati leans sideways deftly, managing not to get beaned by the boot. She goes to retrieve it, throwing a look at Elowyn with a twisty wry little smile. "Thanks," she says dryly. Then she looks over to the Garou and says, "I don't know what you're growling about, but neither one of you needs to go anywhere NEAR that thing, especially with *her* in the mix." She takes a stone from around her neck and holds it in one hand, with the bootlaces in the other. Looking down for a moment, she studies the ground. Then she starts to chant, and begins a dance full of stomping.

Ratsputin watches the others now his hands behind his back looking at the throwing of the object, the catch the music all of it. His large arms going to cross over his chest, as he nods now.

Cait chuffs at Kaati when she mentions their growling. She'll glance towards Elowyn though and study the spirits around her, moving from foot to foot. This is getting really hard for her, staying put and -waiting- without enacting change. Torture!!! AHHH!!

Elowyn takes a deep breath as she tries to pull it again then exhales a bit. AT that she feels it budge. A slight gasp leaves her as she feels that. "Ugh..."

Cait's body seems to sway, leaning towards the box and Elowyn as that wave pumps out of the box itself. Her eyes widen but she'll clench her jaw and growl a bit, taking a step back, just a single step, maybe it'll give her more strength in fighting the desire to fight for it. It's obvious though that she's leaning towards it, WANTING it she just doesn't act on it.

Ratsputin watches that box the pull of it calling to him but he is able to will himself to not move for now, as he watches his love. His eyes twinkle as he watches it all, then he gets ready for violence just in case. Then he loses the hold of it all, and rushing forward to get the box with a wild scream of air, and then he is moving towards the box.

Elowyn frowns a bit as she looks around then looks to the box. At that she just starts to open it to see if she can just take the item out.

"Fuck," Kaati says succinctly. Her hands move fast, almost out of reflex: a smear of blood to the combat boot, just before she throws it at Rats. Her intention goes with it, a single overriding biological command: SLEEP.

Ratsputin rushes forward with a howl of rage and then he is feeling sleeply, but the shiney he needs it in his life more then anything. He rushes forward now as he is running he is reaching for it now absent mindly, as his eyes are narrow.

Kaati tries not to focus on the two giant brawling Crinos. She really does. Her attention is on Elowyn, and the box. With that stone still in her hand, she starts beating a rapid, urgent pattern against one thigh, beginning to pace a circle again.

Seeing Ratsputin lose it again, Cait hunkers down in a running back position and launches herself forward with those powerful legs. She is not a freerunner for nothing, and it shows even in Crinos form. Fast, she's over them in a swift action and like a tank trunk bowls him over with a huge crash! She's not trying to hurt him, just pin him. She roars in his ear as she pins him down, << GET YOURSELF UNDER CONTROL!!! >> He may be higher rank, but she is Ahroun. Whatever damage he does to her, she just takes in order to keep him pinned.

The rage is taking Ratsputin as he starts to surge forward as he then let's out a roar of displeasure at Cait, as he throws her away off of him. But he has not a moment to spare as he rushes forward again towards the shiny, with a snarl as he will not be stoped. His large muscler war formed body glinting in the sun without the hair, pasty white.

While Kaati gets ready to do her spell, the two garou are getting ready to wrestle over that box, Elowyn flips the latch on it, opening that box with a soft click. There's a sudden pause, the hold that was held on Rats and Cait both suddenly.. stop. Kaati would feel it as well, that lack of being drawn to the box almost a weight onto itself in it's missing. The lid floats open on it's own, revealing a warm glow within the box. There doesn't seem to be a source, just.. a glow, that basks the area in it's light.

Kaati's shoulders relax, but the rest of her doesn't, not really. "Fuck," she says succinctly.

Everyone is able to figure it out in their own way. The glow is most definitely from a Spirit. This is what was drawing them all but Elowyn to the box. With the box open, the glow comes floating out of it, a swirling, if small, mass of coins, rings, gems and jewelry. It bobs and weaves in the air as it gushes at them in spirit speech! ~Oh! Thank you thank you!! It's been so long since i've been free! I've been pulling people to me, to try to be let loose, but you, you! You are the one who freed me!! I am so happy!~

Ratsputin watches it now as it is leaving now, as he looks over at Elowyn with a wide smile as he moves towards her now. His hands at his side as he watches it all, ready if in need to in his large war form to kill and to hurt, to battle for the love of his life. As he stands besides her now, his large hand is at his side, as he looks at the leaving spirit.<Good day and pleasent travels, stay safe little one.>

	Elowyn gasps as she sits down and blinks a few times. Looking up at it squeaking and chirping she blinks a few times before looking over at the others now. "Um...is everyone okay?"

Tipping her head, Kaati paces to the center to join them. "Where do you belong?" she asks, studying the sparkling thing.

The spirit would click and shift, chitter as coins move against one another in that little cloud of riches. ~I belong all over. So hard, So hard see? To be seen as worth keeping. Most trade away. But boxes? Oh. They make such lovely places to rest! Until some mean spirit comes and closes the box. I tried so hard to get out. I called to so many people.~ It would waver back and forth sadly. ~And yet see? None are here. None but you! So I am happy to go! To find a better spot to be!~

There is a crunch of bone, and a movement as he is turning back into the homid, his long duster is and his eyes on the man for a moment, as he reaches into the pocket of his coat.<I have a home for you, it will never be closed on you.> There is a flick of his hand as he opens it slowly, it is a little black box, but there is a feeling of joy attached to it, has been used for years to show wonder to children and adults in many places, there is something about it, there is a trick to it to close so he breaks that off with a flick of his hand, this box can't be closed now as he lies it before the treasure spirit."I have used this for years, it was my magic box till recently. It means the world to me and the others but I have given up magic, I present you with a home that can't be shut."

El stays quiet as she gets up, smiling a bit. Looking over at him she then moves closer to Rats now. Seems she's letting them handle it.

Kaati turns her attention to Ratsputin, watching him with steady, unreadable eyes. Then one corner of her mouth tugs upward a tiny bit.
